About Roger

Roger has been involved in New Zealand's financial and investment markets since 1981, being at the forefront of the changes and the development of the foreign exchange and interest rate markets as a manager and adviser.
He is regarded as one of New Zealand's leading professional advisers in his specialist area of treasury management for organisations at risk to market exchange rate and interest rate movements.
Roger was a Partner at PwC (until 30 June 2016) after selling the treasury consultancy business he owned with two other business partners to PwC in October 2012. Roger continues his involvement in the PwC Treasury Advisory business as an independent contractor to PwC. Roger provides advisory services on a one-off project and retainer basis to companies in New Zealand, Australia and SE Asia.
Roger's experience and understanding of international and local financial/investment markets is centred on interpreting, communicating and advising complex matters in a straight forward and clear manner for recipients needing to make financial risk management and investment decisions.
He hails from a South Island farming community and worked in South Africa, London and Amsterdam before returning to New Zealand to commence his career in banking and finance.
Roger is a director of Pie Funds Management Limited and Financial Services Complaints Limited.
Roger's previous directorships included Trust Investments Management Limited, the National Provident Fund and on the advisory board of the NZ Government Debt Management Office.
